Fundamental topics of cellular and molecular neurobiology are introduced in this lecture. A special focus is on ionic currents, equilibrium potentials, time-scales and filter properties.

Contribution to the Seminar Series on “Sensory flow processing across modalities and species” by Arrenberg, Benda, Denzinger, Grewe and Mallot
Seminar series of the Mini-RGT Sensory Flow. The involved group leaders and phd students present their research topics. Main focus is on the principles of sensory processing which are shared across vertebrate species in context of natural behaviour.
