    About the CIN

The Werner Reichardt Centre for Integrative Neuroscience is the common platform of systems-oriented neuroscience at the University of Tübingen, and one of the biggest and most prolific centres of neuroscience in Europe. Here we lay open our integrative approach: interdisciplinary, international, inter-institutional.

    About our research

The CIN has directly supported the work of over 20 research groups whose work it has been to understand how the brain functions on many different levels. It also comprises over 60 additional members working on neuroscientific topics in Tübingen.

    Mission Statement

Scientists at the CIN investigate how the brain generates its different functions such as perception, memory, emotions, communication and movement, and how diseases of the brain impede function. We are guided by the conviction that only a consistently integrated approach will advance such efforts. This requires a broad range of disciplines: biology, medicine, physics, information technology and engineering, as well as cognitive science and the humanities.
