Neuroscientific Talks and Events in Tübingen

Since its inception in 2008 the CIN has provided resources and other forms of support for a wide range of events, some of them stand-alone and some of them regularly recurring seminars or colloquia.

The CIN and its members have been active participants in the thriving neuroscientific community in Tübingen to which many important scientists have been invited to present their research. It is one of the supporters of the ‘Neuro-colloquium’, jointly organised with the HIH, GTC and MPI, a series of public seminars to which all interested students and scientists are invited. It has dealt with a tremendous range of neuroscientific topics, and continues to attract renowned scientists to give high-profile lectures. The ‘Monday Neurobiological Colloquium’, staged at regular intervals at the HIH, is another forum to present research work not only in Tübingen, but also internationally.

The CIN has also formed an important partnership with the Forum Scientiarum, a central institution of the University of Tübingen designed to promote dialogue between the humanities and the natural sciences in research and teaching, from 2008 onwards. It has helped to develop the ‘International Interdisciplinary Summer School’ for PhD students and postdoctoral fellows since 2009, it now offers the CIN Dialogues, annual plenary discussions providing a new platform for interdisciplinary research and exchange. It also provides funding and organizational support for the annual CIN Dialogues at the Interface of the Neurosciences and the Arts and Humanities.

CIN members may apply for funding to support their events: information is available on the Internal pages of the site (login required.)
